Corporate Life

I thought as long as I was going back to work, the rest of the family without a job might as well start contributing too.  This is Josie, clocked in and busy on the laptop.  Of course, she needed a shot of caffeine to get the day started right.  Actually this is Josie on the car ride over to Dallas to come see me during my work 'bootcamp'.  My transition to work has been pretty good--I don't have to get up too much earlier than I always did with the kids and I like what I know about my job already.  I have my desk set up and feeling personal with pictures and whatnot.  This week I have been shadowing people who are already doing my job and next week I will do more classroom training.  I like the people I work with, so that is great.  Josie loves school and already has favorite friends.  Liv loves being back at Kid's Campus and doesn't want to be picked up too early.

The only thing I am having trouble adjusting to is getting off work at 6.  Bedtime is 8:30 for the girls, so in 2.5 hours I need to cook dinner, check homework, pack lunches, do bathtime, clean, do laundry, water flowers, and a million other little things.  I feel like I have no time to do housekeeping stuff, much less spend any quality time with family--I did it for years so I am sure I will get back into the swing of it.  But for now, I am overwhelmed.

welcome back to the world of working mom! this was the hardest part for me when i went back to work. i feel like i have no time for lilly. we get home at 5, bath time is at 6 or 6:30 and then she eats dinner and is in bed by 7 or 7:30. then i have to cook for me and john, wash bottles, do some laundry, wash dishes, and whatever else needs to be done. and then of course spend some time with john. plus im so tired that by 9 im practically falling asleep standing up. i agree with candy, house cleaning can wait until the weekend. or you can pick one thing to do each night, like mondays you will sweep, tuesdays you will dust...you will definately get back into it, i have no doubts. ill keep you in my prayers! <3
